stand-up
Dude had a pretty good stand up routine about a zillion years ago. Saw on a Rodney Dangerfield New Years Special on HBO with several other guys.
DudeG, I have a feeling you have no idea what you are talking about. As the father of a 12 year old who is also a voracious reader, the number of YA series out there is large. Way larger than the ones that get more than a few adults to read.
Not sure how I feel about it yet
Loved The Hunger Games. Enjoyed Catching Fire, though I thought the plot device there was a bit hacky. There's no doubt Collin is doing a good job of driving home her points in Mockingjay (it's a bit anvilicious, but considering the target audience, I'm cool with that), and further…
Is that a quantumn mechanics joke? You don;t see many of those…or do you?
Engorgio!
Thanks. I'll be here all week.
Can something that already happened be ominous?
Nice one, Sir Pantaloons.

The Eagle of the 9th

Ferris is a sort of wish-fulfillment character. He represents what we could do if we only had the balls.
Just got back from Scott Pilgrim, and it was, indeed, fun.
Nobody leaves dis place

Picard takes the helm
My geeky friends and I were just in awe of that. "Holy Shit! Picard's gonna drive!" I have no idea now why we found this so cool, except it is.
@JMP Yep, she does pop up and yep she's kinda creeped out. Also (SPOILER) she's married or something.
Mountains in Kansas
You know, I bet a pretty entertaining "Inventory" could be created about really really awful pop culture uses of geography.
I remember that show. It had Christopher Lloyd as an off-kilter gunfighter and semi bad guy.
But for extra geek cred, do you know how it's pronounced?
