I thought Ponor's routine was better than Raisman's. I felt bad not rooting for the American, but I really wanted a grown-up to win a gymnastics event.

Am I the only one that thinks its horrible that she's keeping her amateur status so she can swim for her high school? I can't imagine how pissed I'd be if I was at the neighboring high school

I guess triple jump wasn't your best event judge. Triple jump was my event - its like long jump with more thinking and fewer competitors!

That's what sports are great for!  Ultimately, it doesn't matter, but its a great place to learn the lesson that you can try your best, still fail, and the world will keep going on.
