I too liked Drive but wasn't blown away. Liked most of the performances, although I honestly thought Ron Perlman was just embarrassing himself. He seemed to walk in from another movie set.

Ah, the Gibson/Eszterhas movie sounds much more appealing. Don't really care for Gibbo's politics or anything, but he's a pretty great filmmaker and that's all that really matters when he's working on movies. Too bad the Viking flick with Dicaprio doesn't seem to be happening, because that sounded…interesting.
Guy Pearce is the man. He's been fantastic in a lot of great stuff. …He was in The Time Machine, too.
Just got back and I liked it a lot but it honestly dragged a bit more in the first half than I was expecting. Gosling was really good but I wish they showed a bit more of the crazy guy simmering beneath the awkward nice guy he was with the girl and her kid. The scene in the diner with the guy that recognizes him…
Yeeeeah Enter the Void! Was a beautiful movie.
I'm surprised at all the hate for Choke. I didn't love it, but it was solid. An interesting take on the book, much lighter and more sentimental which leads to some pretty awkward scenes that fall flat, but it was enjoyable. And the fantasy rape scene is hilarious. "Hit me!" "…With the knife?" "No, that would be…
This sounds fun!
Hmmm not much to add to this but, yeah, what Sleep Attack said about the knowledge of what's happening…or what not. And the Bud Dwyer video/situation was just awful. I can't remember what lead me to it, but I ended up watching it a couple of weeks ago and you know, I honestly can't even remember what exactly he was…
Steve Coogan is brilliant in Hamlet 2.
Don't really care about the age difference, don't really care about any of it, but when it they showed her modeling pictures I had to turn it off. Christ, she's 16. It seems like a hoax, I hope it is, …and then I think to myself, why was I even watching this in the first place?
Real Emotional Trash was pretty amazing in my humble opinion. There are a couple songs ("Gardenia" and uh…"Baltimore", I guess) that aren't so great, but when it's good, it's really, really good. Janet Weiss is awesome and I was disappointed to hear that she didn't play drums on Mirror Traffic. …Then I listened to…
Dream Home
Never seen Inside, heard plenty about it, but has anyone seen this movie Dream Home from a couple years ago? Korean, about this cute woman who goes around an apartment complex killing people? It was really, really awful. One of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. There's a really atrocious part…
"And I Still couldn't get it up."
Balls of Fury
Never watched Lopez's show, was never really a fan of him, but he was pretty hilarious in Balls of Fury. Seriously, that whole movie was hilarious. I don't know why, and I feel kind of bad about it - which is never a good thing - but yeah, I like it. The main guy, the fat guy, he was great.
Ah, fuck Imperial Bedrooms. I'm a pretty big fan of most everything else he's written, but fuck that book.
The Cable Guy
What a great movie. Seriously, The Cable Guy is hilarious.
If you didn't like it you should watch the Director's Cut. It's much, much better. …I know you aren't going to watch it, but you should. Because it's awesome.
Synechdoche, New York is a masterpiece. I'm surprised most everyone has ranked it so low. It's amazing.
