I guess they didn't have the amber for those guys. Plus those zany Russians wanted to clone one of those in real life!

Funny thing about Jurassic Park: the park *was* working with the herbivores. There were no major problems with them. If they hadn't been stupid enough to go all out with T-Rex's and aggressive raptors right away, they could have pulled it off.
Oh god. Annie as Natalie Portman. And Britta as the lesbian lover.
I just wanted to know I wasn't insane for being surprised. Thanks.
How serious I'm being about what? Its inclusion in the National Film Registry? I was surprised. Should I not be?
Is that enough to be deemed culturally significant? I don't mean that as a slight…. I just never thought the movie was taken seriously like (perusing the list) Pulp Fiction, 12 Angry Men, 3:10 to Yuma, etc.
…Why is League of Their Own in the National Film Registry? I don't hate it or anything. I'm just … surprised as this being a cultural touchstone and something like, say, Jurassic Park is not.
Colors aren't discrete values; they're on a continuum. Any reasonable person would say that a color called red-orange exists. The vest being a color isn't mutually exclusive. There are more colors than just 7 or whatever.
I never saw your comment about why he hangs out with Doc Brown, by the way.
Gunsmoke is obscure? Id be surprised to hear that among a TV-oriented community. I thought it was infamous for its stupidly long run, and when people brought up the Simpsons being on the air forever Gunsmoke was in the next sentence.
I knew both. Does that make me a vampire?
This is probably a reference to some award show tonight, in which case the joke's on you for watching it, but I'm tired of seeing Hardwick as the punchline on the internet because of Talking Dead or whatever else. He struggled with alcoholism for a long time and finally quit, and he seems like one of the nicest people…
This is a deadly serious question and I need a response. I may require the services of Shinigami the 80's Movie Expert.
Why does Marty McFly hang out with a crazy old scientist?
I had a baby five years ago and Disqus has yet to let me see its face :(
Is there anybody out there?
I don't think anyone's figured out my birthday.
I had no interest in watching the series after I saw the first episode.
Leopold spoke 15 languages and had honors at the University of Chicago. They weren't dolts. It says a lot more about their failures in morality and empathy.
