I remember seeing Sticks when he was on the show.  Basically, he was a boring Black guy.  The whole arc of his character was, "Hey, Lookit!  He's a skinny Black guy who plays drums!  What, he should do something else?  Fine, he's a Black guy in Wisconsin, too…you try and write a script every week."
