This week is easily the best hip-hop week of 2014, even beyond RTJ2. Why? Well.

Yeah, it's solid.

This deserves an A. A+. 50+'s. Fuck it, throw the world's supply of plusses on the end of that A. This album legitimately had me laughing maniacally and with tears in my eyes as I listened to it. The production is insane and El-P continues to tighten up his flow the more he hangs around Mike.

Saw the tweet from Killer Mike right before i was gonna go to bed last night. Instead I downloaded and listened 4 times straight through. Best decision of my life.

I have Killer Mike's autograph.

I'm a "Ready to Die" man myself, but in the public consciousnes? Yeah, Illmatic aint getting displaced anytime soon.

The amazing thing about "The Food" is that the live version, imo, is actually better than the studio version. I love the studio one, but the energy captured in that chapelle performance is something else.

Whoah there. Can you make an argument for CD as being the best Rap debut ever? Yeah, and probably a pretty good one too. But "easily"? No sir. Illmatic, Ready To Die, Reasonable Doubt, Southernplayalistic, The Infamous, Enter the 36 Chambers, and countless others have equally legit claims.

I was thinking Pusha T, but it could go either way. With Clipse, Pusha was a lyrical monster who was a part of classics and near-classics, but couldn't sell anything. As a solo artist and linking up with Kanye, Pusha is……. a lyrical monster who put together a near-classic (I might've called it one if the stretch from

That was amazing yesterday, I was in tears. And I think it should be swifties vs. Jewel runners.

I plan to. Unfortunately I switched jobs a month ago, and my current one doesn't allow for nearly as much time for music, so I've fallen a bit behind. Your recommendation just got me more hyped.

I personally go with 3 great albums (CD, LR, MBDTF), 2 very good albums (Graduation, Yeezus), and 1 solid album (808s). Kanye may be an ass, but he never fails to put out at quality music, and i get less mileage out of 808s than most because i just find the autotune too damn grating on my ears.

Haven’t had the chance to listen to too much the last month, and I haven’t had the chance to get to Reks’ new album “Eyes Watching God”, Cam’ron’s “First of the Month” EP, and a couple other releases that are currently waiting for me on my hard drive. Here’s what I HAVE listened to…

I enjoyed the album. Not great by any means, but there's some good stuff in there. I felt it started strong, lost steam in the middle but finished up well. No I.D.'s production was really good in spots, but some of the beats didn't work with the rest of the album. Not sure if all the blame should be on No I.D. though,

As a long time resident of Alameda, I can assure you that is absolutely not the case.

Bringing it back full circle, in your opinion how good was Rescue Me at its best? Favorite season/Episode? It's a shame you didn't get to hop on the beat until Season 5, because i would've loved to read your thoughts on the first few seasons when it was firing on all cylinders.

Everyone thought that show was SOOOO over the top at the time, but with whats been alleged in the concussion lawsuits, and this new lawsuits about team doctors illegally distributing painkillers and not disclosing injuries to players, the show probably looks tame now.

Lies, nobody gives a damn what i think of any album. Don't patronize me. I was not around when this review went up and haven't gotten around to listening to this yet, and therefore decided against posting to essentially hear myself talk. Next review i'll be back to giving my useless opinions and typing out large lists

For kicking him out the group, The Firm album deserved to flop. Criminally under appreciated.
