I'm a 29 year old white male and I had never seen them until last year but I have an excuse I live in the south and they never tour here because they think we are all hardcore religious republican ticketmaster loving people when in fact that only describes 75% of us.

Love Boat Captain is my favorite.

Is it sad that I've listened to only 1 of his 50+ albums…and that is Revolver.

Yes Vitalogy the album that I consider to be at best their 6th best album behind Ten, Vs, Riot Act, Pearl Jam, and Yield.

Every time I turn on Pearl Jam radio on sirius they are playing I Got Id. Whoever runs that station must fucking love that song. There is no way they play that song live so frequently that it should be on that much.

I finally listened to Backspacer yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how many songs I liked. At this point in their career as long as 50% of the album is good I'm happy. I'll probably listen to this today. Got to get study up since I'm seeing them in concert in a couple weeks.

Great interview Josh. I always find it fascinating hear how bands come up with their set list especially a band that constantly changes theirs like Pearl Jam. I wish more bands did that but I guess you always have to strike a balance between an elaborate light show and variety of songs.

I think I'm going to write an open letter to Sufjan asking him to make a new non Christmas non rap solo album already.

Haha he has 4 layers on! There is like 20 buttons there.

Footsteps is a pretty obscure song to cover on national TV. I love Corduroy though so I'm excited to see that.

Oh ok that makes sense.  I don't know why that never crossed my mind.  I just immediately assumed she was emptying the O2 tanks and not shutting off the flow to the cabin.

Am I the only one who thought she died in space and the whole ending didn't actually happen?

I think you should look up the definition of oxymoron because what I said isn't one at all.  Redundant is the word you are looking for.  Although there is a difference between the subtle movement of a handheld camera and the violent disorienting shaking of one that Greengrass has employed in his previous films.

Having just watched WWZ last week I really enjoyed the parody elements of this episode but didn't find the Zimmerman satire to be that strong.  I would give this episode a B-.

They are kind of pulling a 24 here and having the government hate Carrie and not giving her theory that Brody wasn't involved in the attack any thought even though she has proven multiple times that she is the smartest person in the intelligence community.

I find it interesting to see actual filming locations although I can see how that can be dry for other people.  I guess it really depends on what your attachment is to the movie/TV show they are covering.

Fuck Greengrass and his shaky cam. Seriously that guy ruined countless well staged action scenes in the Bourne movies because he thinks that if you shake a handheld camera it makes things so much more intense. Disappointing to hear he continued to use this "technique" in Captain Phillips.

I can't decide whether I'm really excited for this because I loved BSG or I'm not at all because it clearly is another network just trying to get some of that Game Of Thrones money.

Who used to do the amazing Phillip Seymour Hoffman impression?  Was it Sudeikis? It was weird seeing someone else do it this episode.

Definitely didn't know that was a masturbation pun and I was in high school when this came out so I was the target audience.
