You guys can hate all you want but Recovery was a good album. I'm looking forward to hearing his new stuff.

The pilot didn't suck me in but it was certainly well made enough to get me to watch another episode.  If this show really has no moments of levity I could see it becoming a chore to watch though.

Wait so the castle is already built?  Or they just don't show you the actual work that they do?  I was unaware of the show Doomsday Preppers and as ridiculous as the commercials make this show to be (look everyone they have catapult!) it could be interesting to learn about what goes in to making a fortified structure

So the Albini mixes are just more muddled?  Curious to hear the 2013 mixes.  Often times the whole remaster/remix thing is negligible but I will say that the remixes on 20th anniversary edition of Pearl Jam Ten are way better then the original mixes.  I can't listen to the original mixes anymore.

@Big_Knife:disqus thanks for the recommendations.  I'll check them out. The Square sounds really interesting.

I can't stand Dunst but I'm all for Edgerton getting more roles.  That guy was great in Warrior.

Thanks @kaptron:disqus stuff like this drives me crazy.  I accept the fact that due to my profession I'm going to be extra critical of computer use in film but there is a difference between something looking cool to the masses like "let me crack this by typing really fast on my keyboard" and what they do in Elysium

Ok so what you are saying is that it was basically an anti piracy measure. The host could transfer it at will but the recipient could never transfer it again without killing themselves.  That makes sense in a way although why not just transfer it to a hard drive instead of a human being.  Probably thinking way too

I'll be honest that's not a bad pitch and it's a great name.  Certainly no worse then anything that networks pick up these days.  Quit your job and move to Hollywood I say!

I don't see a spoiler space link so SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT:

I actually think Boiler Room is his best performance.

What possible shows are these "younger" kids missing out on that you as a 30 year old have seen? Especially in the Netflix / HBO GO world that we live in where everything is available to watch.  I'm 29 and as far as dramas go Breaking Bad is absolutely near the top for me along with The Wire and BSG.

I've never seen an ad for him but if I happen to get into the Meth trade I now know who I'm calling to help launder my money.

I just realized that I think last night's episode might have been the first episode of the entire show where we get zero shots of meth or a meth lab.

If Walt is not cooking meth then who is? Todd by himself? He's kind of breaking his deal with that other dealer too.  There is no way that guy can be happy with the crappy quality meth he's being given now. I expect there to be repercussions from all the business partners he was supplying to.

I think I need a drink after that one.  Definitely surprised we got that confrontation in the first episode.  I love how this show doesn't kill time like most other shows would.

So it turns out C+ is about right.  It was just generic sci fi with nothing that really stood out for me.  The plot didn't really make sense either. Sharlto Copley seemed like he was having fun though.

Unrelated but Slate just posted a not very positive review of the first episode of Low Winter Sun which airs before Breaking Bad.  When will we get our AV Club review?  I totally forgot about that show starting until now.

I know it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things and I'm not sure how they would fit it in with only 8 episodes to go but I would really like to know more about what happened with the Grey Matter situation.

I guess we'll finally find out the age old question: Did the wicked witch of the west provide the flying monkeys' union with good health insurance?
