All things considered he did a pretty good job in his first week. He seemed to have good rapport with his guests and didn't seem that nervous. Really can't ask for more. No one can replace John Stewart.

This article is coated in so much fake Sean O'Neal snark that I'm actually not sure what it's reporting. It seems like on 7/4 they are going to show videos on MTV but I can't tell.
Yeah there is no reason they wanted that one specific homeless guy. But in general they mention several times in the movie that the Purge is to get rid of non contributing members of society because they are the ones ruining the economy.
Basically they only show assault and murder. In the purge world everyone is basically a psycho killer on the inside just waiting for the chance to kill someone. And then everyone is totally normal functioning people the other 364 days a year.
I unfortunately saw this movie over the weekend. It is horrible. The concept in itself if very interesting and could produce a very good story but this movie is nothing but a Panic Room / The Strangers rip off that is as predictable as they come and barely touches on the ethical dilemma at the center of the concept.…
I didn't know Clay Aiken was directing this movie. It has be better then From Justin To Kelly.
Ok yeah I remember that. Thanks.
Can someone please tell me in what season Danny was in? I don't remember his character at all.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that just his salary for Pirates 4 was something like $75 million so $20 million is a kind of a discount for him. Either way that guy is one of the richest actors of all time so its kind of odd at this point he is choosing or rejecting movies based on a pay day.
Agreed. That switch to the heavy riff is epic. Still gets me every time. That album has definitely grown on me over the years.
No mention of Lullabies to Paralyze?!? That's my favorite QOTSA album. The first 9 tracks are awesome…then the rest are not so good. I think its a good intro album because it's not as heavy as Songs for the Deaf and Little Sister is as catchy as it gets.
I always thought Sudeikis would have made a good weekend update anchor. He just has to stay on for another half a season and he'll finally get his shot.
I actually liked him. I thought he had some potential.
Why is this under Great Job Internet? I'm all for AV Club telling me about cool new tracks but I feel like this site needs a new section for these called something like "Check this song out".
My biggest complaint against Daft Punk's music has always been that it is too repetitive. They can make incredibly catchy stuff but after 1 minute its just more of the same. Robot Rock is a perfect example. Justice on the other hand has always had concise 3-4 minute songs that remain interesting throughout. I also…
I'm pretty sure all albums that stream on iTunes before their release are presented as one long song so that is not something Daft Punk specifically did.
Am I the only one who finds the mentor performances to be kind of cheesy? It always bugs me when Adam or also in this case Usher "plays" an instrument on stage when behind them the full band is really playing the music. Shakira on the other hand gets bonus points for ripping off that nice harmonica solo.
Can we talk about how much better the full band live versions of Kendrick Lamar's songs sound. That sax player on Poetic Justice was the best part of the show.
Didn't she also play her mom in Tiny Furniture? She looked familiar.
