RIPLEEEEEEE!!!! RIPLEEEEEEEE!!!!

One of my favorite movies that isn't one of my FAVORITE movies. It's ALMOST like a Zucker 'Police Squad' movie (Stallone as The Terminator?)
Love it. Wish it actually showed up on cable now and again.

Not on Boston's Classic Rock station, either. Though it USED to. As did Steve Miller (Take the Money and Run.)
They have no problem playing Hurricane, though. (Not saying they should bleep that.)

I KNEW it was too good to be true! [SOB…] Yeah I guess I was a sucker back then for the soul-less Duran Duran production sound and even the odd synth drum or two… what can I say?
I always hated McCartney II but I love P2P. Twisted brain cells.

So Glad to See You was always one of my favorites. SUCH an especially great vocal from Paul and of course the mix of all the other regular elements (killer musicianship and harmonies.)

There's a great BTTE bootleg called 'Eggs Up,' that has both unreleased stuff and alternate takes/mixes of tracks. Seek it out, you will not be disappointed!
It's not better known because it didn't have a hit single ('Getting Closer') and it was SLAMMED by critics when it came out. MOST of Paul's stuff was. It's SO

(There are; they're hiding. That's NEXT season…'Oh yeah - we were hiding from the…. WALKERS, yes, that's right. The Walkers. THAT's who we were trying to avoid…. uh, want some hummus?")
I think the smarties worked out the cities, to a point anyway,

Hey, it'd be something to do, "fire patrol." 'Sides, you don't so much need to burn the brain as what its contained in (it would be cool to see if an intact zombie brain with no outer transportation somehow has the power of locomotion. And smell. And direction. Hmm…..)

I think Kincaide's just about their speed, art-wise. I'd love a Frasier Crane type to show up out of the blue and start riffing on their Damien Hirst existence, though. While leaning back against the fence.

They need to harness the power of fire more often. Bonfire + torches seems a hell of a lot easier than stick-poking, providing the wind is blowing AWAY from the prison.

We all need to get together sometime and have one killer listening party of a weekend.

Also - Dear AV Club, will you be reviewing 'James Paul McCartney' (the tv special) at some point? Because it might be perfectly fine if you are not able to get to it. Really.
Maybe you could do One Hand Clapping instead.

Just want to say I'm loving this week on AV Club.
And that I love the phasing that goes on between the channels when the harmonies start in on 'Uncle Albert' (when it starts getting trippy sounding.) I think the new remaster of Ram dialed that delay down a bit, somehow changed it so the timing wasn't half a beat off.

ALRIGHT?

Back to the Egg. So underrated and so much yummy stuff there, from Baby's Request to Rockestra, etc.

And SO aptly titled.

It's depressing as hell. It's "Your Parents Divorce - The Movie!"
Some great scenes but when you're finished watching it you just want to roll into a ball under a lot of blankets and watch A Hard Day's Night.

Loving the amount of Beatle-related articles of late; please keep 'em coming!

They are people that died that for some reason are up and moving around, even when they are missing much of their bodies, and eat other not-dead people but don't seem to ever, um, use the restroom.

Grim is the word. Depending on my state of mind on any particular Sunday, this show is an incredibly depressing way to head off into sleep and the coming work week. I often wish it was on at another time (I know, OnDemand, but I'm old and communal viewing experience is something I can't seem to shake.) Last season the
