Yeah, I find Mexican Spanish pretty easy to understand. They do have a lot of idiosyncratic stuff that I don't really pick up on, but their accents are fairly neutral.

My Danish/English ancestry isn't doing me any favors in the sun protection department.

Haha what the hell? That was super funny. I lived with a few Ecuadorians so I got used to the accent. Dominicans and Cubans on the other hand….

Yeah, I lived in Spain so the accent was easy enough for me. There were a handful of words that I didn't know, but I got 90% of it.
