I went on a vacation when "Closing Time" came out and rented a car. All it had was an FM radio. Well, went to Atlanta and tuned to the local pop-alternative station there and must've heard that song at least 1,000 times, and that's not much of an exaggeration.

It's a weird fit between the Simpsons and Family Guy - it's a very subtle, sitcommy kind of humor that's still plenty subversive. It's not gut-busting funny, but it's funny enough to deserve 30 minutes of your time and a spot somewhere on Fox.

Grohl's great at what he does. So is Matt Cameron. Agree that Kinney and Chamberlain are/were both underrated parts of their respective bands. Kinney was like Alice in Chains' secret weapon. He has this oddly almost Stewart Copeland-esque style in a band that wouldn't seem to call for it much.

I always thought Guest's character was so closeted in "Guffman" because his little town wouldn't stand for an openly gay man being in charge of the theater group and he couldn't stand not being part of it. That and the usual shit one might catch in a small town for being openly gay.

Why is this not on TV somewhere?

who the fuck has compared huey lewis to elvis costello?

well
hopefully he doesn't break out of his hiatus and try to tour. That never goes well for anybody. Somebody makes the stupid joke about Bryan Adams and he goes on a four-city pout.

No cable. Can't watch it. Gone anyway.

Seriously, I read the title and figured it was some kind of TV sitcom version of "Best in Show."

is it bad
That this is the first time I've ever heard that this show existed?

Really, people?

She settled for tree-fiddy and an autographed iCarly poster.

Give it time, SJS.

I'd like to drag Meg back behind the drum kit, if you know what I mean. By that, I mean I'd like to have sex with her.

Vedder doesn't have to know the words because the crowd sings along to every song. If he forgets, he just drops out and lets the crowd sing.

Someone didn't like manbearpig? Are they cereal?

Naked sounds to me like it's trying way too hard to be all "world music"y like Paul Simon or Peter Gabriel, and it just doesn't hit the mark.

This series has been great so far and has been the best reading on here.

Hate to sound all Kanye here, but Republicans don't give a fuck about poor people. Poor people just take their tax money and complicate their dream of not having to give the government anything.

So many words …
