It's a show in its fourth season that has never really managed to find itself. And it keeps rebooting, which probably makes it pretty easy to drop even if you've stuck it out for a while.

I liked The Wicked + The Divine a little better than you, but not much better. It really reads like the sort of thing you'd get in the 90s, written by people who had just read Neil Gaiman (the novels, not the comics) and had their little brains blown. Except now it's 2017 and Gaiman hasn't been a trailblazer in…
I think it's been repeatedly demonstrated that the way to defeat fascists and racists isn't to convince them that they're wrong (because they usually already know that, and don't care), but to make their views embarrassing to them, and more importantly, to the people who might have been considering signing on. I…
One of the things that the last few months have really driven home is how absurdly uneven the balance of power in a presidential system is. In a parliamentary system, you'd be able to pass a vote of no confidence against Trump's government and call elections immediately, but instead you're stuck with him for four…
The NY Taxi Workers Alliance has gone on strike in protest, with no pickups from JFK:
A lot of organizations try to acknowledge that the Holocaust didn't happen just to Jews, but the way to do that isn't to erase the ethnicities of its victims, but to stress them. Most statements I've seen that are worth the digital ink say something like "the Jewish, Romani, and homosexual victims of the Holocaust". …
Pence probably wouldn't take advice from a neo-Nazi, which would surely be an improvement.
He probably wants something to happen. Bush got his biggest approval rating boost, and the biggest carte blanche from the legislative branch of probably any modern president, after 9/11. Building on national shock and terror is probably Trump's only path to achieving anything as a president right now.
He mentions that he got six months severance, so he and Jane are pretty financially stable for the moment. What I don't understand is why he isn't getting at least partial disability, since he was injured as part of an ongoing investigation.
I'm giving the show the benefit of the doubt and assuming that we're meant to see Petra's big speech to Rafael as yet another expression of her downward spiral. She's clearly severely traumatized, and she's latched on to Rafael as a villain because he makes a more satisfying enemy than Agnieszka.
Yes.
Not according to Jewish tradition.
1. There are many French Jews.
2. Jews comes in pretty much every shape, color, and ethnicity.
3. LaBouef's mother is Jewish, which makes him Jewish as well.
He's a Jewish man who was accosted by a Nazi, and reacted accordingly.
I said this above, but I'll say it again because I just believe it so deeply: Amy Adams is a great actress who I'm sure will get an Oscar some day. And Arrival is a good movie. But the idea that she gave such a great performance in it that not giving her a nomination this year is a travesty is honestly bizarre to…
Everyone's been assuming that, but I think the nominating cutoff was before the Golden Globes ceremony. Plus, it's not like the Academy has ever needed an excuse to give Streep a nomination for a solid but hardly award-worthy performance.
I thought the reason was that the family didn't want to acknowledge that Genovese was gay and living with a partner when she died.
Indeed. I mean, none of them are actually good, but Supergirl is enjoyable, Arrow still has its moments, and Legends of Tomorrow is enjoyably bonkers and has decent characters. The Flash, on the other hand, was driving me crazy with its complete indifference to basic human decency last season, and from what I've…
In my experience Marvel fans tend to be less dogmatic about this sort of thing than DC fans. Plus, everyone had Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad to kick around this year, so the flaws in Civil War and Doctor Strange - though they undeniably exist - were a lot less fun to point out.
I agree with you in principle, but the two recent movie adaptations of his musicals were adequate at best.
