Actually, I was just reflecting that my my nit-picky nine-year-old self couldn't enjoy a decent movie because of 'mistakes' no native Minnesotan would notice anyway.  Sorry my self-mocking tone did not come through.

It's funny that you call Little Big League realistic.  My clearest memory of this movie is the scene where the mom and her date get soaked on a bridge near a water ride, and I remember thinking at time, "But, the way the entrance and exit to that ride is set up, there's no way you could accidentally wander in there!

Ladies, (or guys, I don't judge) if you love the dresses from the flashback scenes, I think I actually recognize where they came from.  http://www.leluxeclothing.com/ makes some gorgeous flapper dresses, and for that much beading they're actually pretty reasonable.  They do run small though.
