I don't have a defense, it seems to be a common theme displayed earlier. Season 2 went off the rails for a few reasons, but Abu Nazir striking when all thought it was safe was not one of them.

1) world record for meaningless 24 references
2) How did this episode get a B while episodes that had LEO also get a B
3) I think the final plot twist is actually quite believable. Abu Nazir did the same thing by striking when their guard was down. I didn't see any plot leaps of faith here.
4) Whatever happened to…
I can't wait until Aayan and Carrie go to the cabin, then Aayan finds out the truth and drives away and says "hey carrie, fuck you."
Why? Every time I forget about something ridiculous this show has made me watch, it does something even worse. Why carrie? why? At least its not as bad as Leo, I will never forgive the show for that.
I watch a lot of TV and i have to say this is my favorite show. For all the bullshit hype that breaking bad had, breaking bad had a structured plot. Only certain things could happen. This show, which I believe separates it from all the other shows on television, as literally unlimited potential. ANYTHING can happen at…
i feel better now
How has nobody made an Abu Nazir reference yet?
shotgun!
This season of Person of Interest has been one of the best seasons of any television show I have ever watched. After next week I am going to rewatch the entire series over the summer. God Dam I love this show.
I still think abigail hobbes is alive. I hope Freddie is dead I've been waiting for that to happen since day one.
This was one of the best episodes of television I have ever seen.
Craig ferguson is the most obnoxious unfunny human I have ever seen in my life.
I couldn't agree more, Also Steve's final scene was, i thought, perfectly executed
I see what you are saying but I feel that this whole storyline is a big circle jerk waste of time if Frank is the same as before
I think Shameless has a decent shot of some emmy-worthy nominations this season especially if you look at the lack of good comedies anymore, but having said that I am willing to forgive toying with the idea of having Frank die all season long just to bring him back to life only if he actually comes out a new man.…
Robbie reminds me so much of Bradley Cooper
I am ridiculously excited for the rest of the season.
We should have taken a stool sample!!
Really didn't expect the epic fall of Fiona this season, it certainly has been devastating. I love how we have seen Lip grow up particularly this season, this is an excellent season of shameless.
I don't see why not, i i think the show is more likely to get emmy-recognized if the season itself is shorter
I see what you're saying but there have been excellent episodes that was in fact case of the week but this episode had nothing going for it.
