Just because some people have stopped paying attention to the distraction doesn't mean it's not sleight of hand. That's the purpose of Trump and his rhetoric, to keep people's attention on him. More and more people are starting to realize what Trump's role is, and hopefully that group just keeps increasing as time

Trump is clearly a jester used to distract the public from everything going on behind the scenes. He's a mouthpiece who is specifically designed to incite anger in the public, so they spend so much time focused on him, his antics and his lies.

The purpose is often asking more complicated questions later so you can see them struggling more. If they have to form a complex answer while fighting back tears and hiccups, it's more entertaining to watch. They're not supposed to be able to answer the questions.

Part of it is definitely Sean Evans' interview style, which is probably a nice change of pace during press tours. Another part is probably that they're mostly let off the leash and can say whatever they want, since the questions are generally about them and not the specific movie they're in. It probably also doesn't

I actually really enjoy this Hot Ones show, and Sean Evans is a surprisingly strong interviewer (this Charlie Day one isn't his best showing). It's cool that the show is starting to get legitimate mainstream celebrities now (Ricky Gervais was already on this season) instead of needing to rely on hip-hop artists and

That's exactly what they're doing. I can't imagine they can keep this up forever, but even these scant few weeks they've been in office have been exhausting trying to keep up with all the stupid, offensive, borderline illegal things they're doing.

Their general approach toward this whole terrorism thing is terrifying (pun intended). I honestly think this administration is crossing their fingers, hoping that Americans are killed by Islamic extremists. Everything they say and do seems to be trying to goad them into it, so they can then say "SEE?! WE TOLD YOU!"

I'm convinced that this entire Trump administration is one giant test to see how far sleight of hand can get you. They keep dangling little unimportant things in front of our faces that they know we'll be mad about, and they do or say a new thing every day that keeps the public's attention and outrage/condemnation.

You mean to tell me that when my girlfriend deigns to show me her breasts, the appropriate response is NOT to yell "Yay, boobies!"? I've been living my life all wrong, it seems.

I wasn't planning on ever playing a Pokemon game again, but I'll be damned if this one hasn't sucked me back in. Part of it is that this game releases at the perfect time. Partially because, as mentioned in this article, my world view has been very gloomy lately and could use a little levity and optimism. And also

Josh Charles made a joke on Twitter about it, but I could legitimately see it being possible: This was released by a sound tech because Trump blamed his debate on a shitty mic. Sound guys actually are a notoriously tight-knit club, so I think it would be hilarious if one saw that debate, thought, "Oh yeah, you want to

Since I see other people making predictions, I have one I quite like. Jon and Ramsay will meet in battle, Jon's army will win but Ramsay will escape like the little bitch he is. Then with Winterfell retaken and nowhere to go, he'll attempt to run to the one family he thinks is still allied with the Boltons: The Freys.

Am I the only one who kinda digs this song? It's not reinventing the wheel or anything, but I can see myself drinking too much alcohol, convincing myself I can dance and flailing wildly while women scatter to this song.

"Land of the Genies" seems like something that would only be possible to portray well through animation. I can't imagine a scenario where a film set in this world will look anything but overly campy and weird.

I enjoy Thompkins a lot and will really miss this show. It was always entertaining and frequently interesting, and helped me pass my boredom at work. But the guy also has a lot of pans in a lot of fires, so I can understand him cutting back.

I understand wanting to link out to that article calling the hallway fight scene the greatest in TV history … but the audio here obviously is not that hallway fight. Maybe I'm taking a joke post too seriously, BUT I DEMAND ACCURACY AV CLUB!!

No, because your argument makes no sense. It seems like your point of view is "if she allowed her body to be viewed before, she can never take offense to being objectified." Which is nonsense.

And you aren't too bright if you don't see contradiction of making the choice to do one in the final version of a film and being required to do the other for a simple reading.

I honestly don't understand the logic here. Do you honestly believe choosing to appear nude in a film is the same thing as a casting call requiring you to dress slutty (in a very specific way) to read for a part? You think those two things cancel each other out?

This really is an important topic to discuss and de-stigmatize. I suffered from chronic depression for more than five years, and I always knew in the back of my head that's what it was. But I kept telling myself I'd just get through it, that I didn't need to tell anyone about it. I'd meet the right girl, or get the
