I live in Toronto and, at least at my kids' schools, there is no hot lunch provided and I always wondered why. I finally realized that if there were, the school district would have to provide every type of food option available - vegetarian/vegan, Halal, Kosher, gluten-free, not to mention the multitude of allergens
