Feck!

"No better than Laserblast…"
Seeing Leonard Maltin (a genuinely nice guy, by the way) above reminds me both of of his (admittedly weak) appearance on MST3K and the extended credits sequence on "Laserblast" in which Mike and the Bots rip into his movie guide for giving "Laserblast," as well as much greater movies, 2

I will always, always, always defend his performance in "Studio 54." Underrated and overlooked.

LOOSE STOOL:

Oh, I almost forgot the random commercial for "Hart's Turkey Farm" in Meredith, New Hampshire which was, if I recall, just a still photo with a voice over. Also another personal favorite, "The Taste of Maine Restaurant, Route 1 Woolwich, just North of Baaaaaaath"

Haven't seen the Funtown ad in some time (Westbrook, represent). I love the line "The cure for family friction/It's the prescription for good clean fun!" So random for a jingle and from Zach's description, false advertising.

"BABY OIL!!!"

"No one tells a Navy Man when he's had enough to drink…
…cause only a Navy Man knows when he's had enough to drink."

"…but after a relatively dry beginning…
…the film builds in passion and intensity until attaining a stirring cumulative power."

Don Cheadle played Sammy in that HBO "Rat Pack" movie from about 10 years ago.

My favorite part wasn't a line. It was the appearance of Jim walking Pam to the door at 4am. Only a new-ish couple would be doing that.

C.J. Clark, that is the same exact thing that came to mind when I read this review. That and Baby Drew saying "I want to divorce my parents."

As it happens, The Movie Network here in Canada aired the doc after the movie and I watched the doc first, since I'd never seen it before and it made all the difference.

I've lived here in Toronto for three years and have never heard the nicknames (?) T-Dot or The Big Smoke. Mostly, I just hear "The GTA," which really is just a description.

"James Arness. As a young boy, James Arness nurtured a howling bitterness in the face of the awesomely superior talent of his brother, Peter Graves.
Peter Graves' life and career were marked by a generosity of spirit and loving attitude towards his fellow man, which were altogether missing in the pitted soul of James

WLVI - Living 56!
Ahh memories.

For a time, there wasn't a single day that went by in my High School band room without some budding Vince Neil plunking out the opening to "Home Sweet Home" on the piano.

You can always tell it's Lent because the fast food joints start overplaying the fish sandwiches.

I suppose, but Barney and Marshall are close friends. Shouldn't you expect a higher standard from your friend than some random d-bag co-worker?

Yes, Pants are funny
But I was really pissed off by Barney's mutilation of Marshall's pants. Who the hell does this? I could see this kind of behavior on "Eastbound and Down" but it seemed so over the top childish, unrealistic and obnoxious that it took me completely out of the episode.
