I loved the way they named Robin at the end. I agree that Blake is a great representative of the character.  But if they had named him Robin (or Dick Grayson) from the beginning, all our preconceived notions and expectations of a Robin character would have skewed how we saw him.  If they didn't name him at the end,

My biggest plot gripe: The whole take the board of trade hostage to use Bruce Wayne's finger print to make bad trades… couldn't they have just had a guy infiltrate the floor and do the same thing without the whole spectacle of a massive hostage-taking and downtown car chase?  And wouldn't any shady transaction made at

Yeah, I'm hoping it's just an open ending… life goes on, Batman goes on, Bruce moves on.

I actually think Nolan (or the Nolans, rather) did a good job of giving Cotillard's character a purpose so she wasn't an irrelevant character—she would be the girl Wayne sits with at the cafe when when he and Alfred exchange their meaningful nod.  I thought that was set up pretty well. The twist caught me off guard,

Always knew the name and knew that he worked with Franken on SNL. I'm guessing he's responsible for a lot of stuff I've found funny.
