I don't think that Alec Baldwin's voice from Glengarry really does the letter justice.  It's not so much pompous as it is flat-out homicidal; as much of a dick as Alec Baldwin was in Glengarry, I don't think he would have killed anyone in the office (except maybe Arkin's character).

Then I'll allow myself to be baited and re-post what I said earlier.  Why should inheritance (aside from nominal amounts) be taxed at a high rate?  Furthermore, why should it be used to provide "opportunity and resources for the least fortunate among us"?

After further consideration, I've decided this is neither the time nor the place for this sort of discussion, and can only needlessly enrage a group of individuals who've come together to celebrate the glory that was The Simpsons. That's just plain bad form.

Regarding your response, I absolutely agree about Sammy's reaction.  I've really enjoyed watching Sherman evolve (or devolve, depending on your perspective) into something of a sociopath.  I'm telling you, he's Alonzo Harris from "Training Day" as a young cop.

Interesting on both points.  I like the idea that Sherman is a dark Sammy.

I think you're both right about what happened with Tammy, but I don't know that Sammy's convinced.  Ben knows Tammy started it (and he knows it far more clearly than Sammy does), but Ben also knows that Sammy's disturbed by what happened.  He was trying to throw Sammy off-balance; it didn't work, but Ben didn't have

TNT ran "Training Day" yesterday afternoon and after watching that (one of my favorite films), I think Sherman could be a young Alonzo Harris.  If the show comes back, I don't see Sammy turning him in; it would be out too of character, even taking into account all of Ben's bullshit (which didn't start this season).

Amen to that.  I was rocking out to that all weekend.

You raise a really good point.  Bart and Skinner may be more like Ralph and Sam than Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner.

I wanted to use that quote, dammit.  So creepy, especially the near-satisfaction in her voice.

I could see next week starting with an off-the-books shooting of the tweakers by Sherman and Dewey.  I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see it.

I guarantee that I read that here (from either a reviewer or a commenter).

I'm not going to lie, last night while watching I was hoping hoping the two tweakers would get captured and tortured like Abner Louima.  I can see Sherman and Dewey doing it.  Lucero may have been an asshole, but I felt for him in a way that I never felt for Nate (even though Nate's tenure on the show was longer).  I

That's 70s-era Lee Majors.  So close, yet so far.

I'm sure someone else has already said this, but did he even watch the clip?  There's no "Golly!" or "Gomer!"; it's like I'm taking crazy pills.
