Not clever enough

@whataworkout: Michael Cera took his one note character to an odd place in Year One, so yeah pretty much the same career trajectory.

Movie and miniseries
It feels to me like most of the people posting here haven't seen the movie. I'm just wondering how many people here have. If you haven't I'd totally check it out because 1) its really good and 2) it takes a totally different approach to the story. I haven't read the book so I can't say which is

Thanks for the answer Asuka. I really mean it too. Every alternative to the iPod I've ever seen looks just terrible and everyone I know who had an MP3 player that wasn't an iPod always wished they did have an iPod but due to circumstances couldn't get one. But to hear that there are people who actually prefer other

But how do people without iTunes use iPods? Are people really concerned enough with being anti-Mac to get an inferior MP3 player. I mean I've never had the desire to get an apple computer, but c'mon, the iPod is the best on the market.

Also someone was talking about "the rest" section and I always thought that it was podcasts that were good, but were only worth listening to if you were interested in the subject. For example the Dan Charnas interview on Sound of Young America, which I really liked, but I read the book and I find the subject matter

I will give you the Rolling Stones pizza place thing was pretty good, but that was 30 seconds and I don't think it had to be the Alan Rickman character saying it.

No Comedy Death Ray
I can totally get behind not including CDR. Normally I like Adam Scott, and his solo contributions were decent this week, but the Alan Rickman stuff was just bad.

Normally they comment on ASC in this feature, although I have to say every year its SXSW coverage, which is awesome, is a content overload. SXSW week just doesn't feel like regular ASC.

Yeah, I don't know why I thought it would be a guilty pleasure, maybe because I never, ever see it mentioned here (all three weeks of this feature). And I'm definitely behind it getting a thread on line of the week and I'm into the tool ate line.

feel *GOOD* about myself for liking it. Also for that typo.

Mike Detective
So its really minor, and it can get repetitive, but god if I don't love me some Mike Detective. Can someone make me feel about myself for liking it.

I've gotta agree. This was the worst episode of the season by a whole bunch. Just all these characters that I like being mean to each other. The whole thing felt…unpleasant.
I do have to disagree with you about Ken Jeong though. He's not hilarious, nor has he ever been. I can't think of one time when I thought ya know

I agree with you on the montage, which I thought was ridiculous, but I really have to disagree with you on the point that if you're nominated for best picture you should by default win something. If a movie is nominated for best picture it is being recognized as one of the 5 or 10 best movies of the year overall.

I don't think those 4 not winning anything is really a strike against the academy. There is a such thing as a movie that's really good and one of the year's best without really being THE best at anything.

Yeah, season 5 is probably my favorite season too. It has my favorite episode (The Cigar Store Indian, don't ask me why) and overall just feels slightly, slightly stronger than season 4, which would be the best season of just about any other show.

I was joking about taking sides and I hope hope hope that came across because I definitely think both P&R and Community have valid arguments at being the best comedy (show?) on TV, P&R just working better for me, but I'd noticed, especially last year, that the fans of both these shows seemed intent on saying their

Another vote for Freaks and Geeks doing a better D&D episode. And I totally forgot about the comment rivalry between Parks and Rec and community. Since we're being forced to pick sides I'll go with Parks and Rec, which is in my mind everything TVDW sees in Community.

The flu is a nasty little thing and plenty of people end up in the hospital because of it. And I mean, April was the only one there for real. Leslie went because she considers Ann her doctor (which is creepy/adorable). And Chris went because his body is a microchip. So yeah, didn't really bother me at all.

Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of being in the audience of a Broadway show.

Yeah, I was definitely tempted to post this after the Abed as Jesus one, which I thought was bad TV, not just bad "Community". And admittedly, while I watch a lot of TV, most of the TV I watch is sports with mute on and music in the background, meaning the scripted shows I watch are generally on the more critically
