Here's the part I never understood: unless I'm mis-hearing the dialogue, LeChiffre says "Your friend Mathis is my friend Mathis," correct? And I don't know any other way to interpret that than as an admission that Mathis was working with LeChiffre. So I was naturally confused by his innocent/unlucky status in QOS.
