Behold:
"Don't say that name around me. He is the epitome of everything that's disgusting about the thespian. He worships at the temple of his own narcissism."
Lovely song. Lovely video.
"Oh yeah, you fired me, what because of Dragon Sound? They make music for kids! Now WHO ARE YOU BULLSHITTIN?!"
Why are you telling us?
"Candy Green with eleven screens…"
I love John Carpenter, but yes. You are correct.
Both are great, for sure.
At this point, it really does the opposite of what they're intending. It robs those moments of any real shock or drama because it's so cliché.
top shelf performances from Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton, too.
Unrequested opinion:
Michael Biehn's performance is the best part of this movie.
Totally agree. It falls apart completely at the end, which is a shame because for the first 2 hours, it's really good.
I know the trailer might not be a fair representation, but… in movies like this, wouldn't it be scarier and more unsettling if the shark attack moments weren't accompanied by big Hans Zimmer esque explosion noises?
"Well, You haven't been in Action-Comedy as long as I have, Killam… But You're a QUICK LUHRNERR!"
Possible Homer Sexual
I think Daredevil had tone problems right from the get go… Foggy and Karen have a real 'Gee, Shucks' Scooby-Doo element to their dialogue and characters which have only become more and more glaringly a mismatch as the show has raised the dramatic stakes.
I can't even upvote you because it's so bad.
Most of the reason I was stoked to hear that they'll be doing a spin off Punisher series with Bernthal (aside from him really owning the role), is that it'll no doubt be as bloody and intense, but probably nowhere near as silly or tonally unfocused as Daredevil has become.
