I finally got around to watching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and I was really fucking impressed.

Yeah, Animal Kingdom was pretty fucking great.

Happy Endings
I watched the pilot on Hulu after hearing it had been renewed and it was kind of shitty. However it picks up considerably in next couple episodes and I like it now. The deal was cinched in the 2nd episode where two of the guys were watching a Wisconsin-Northwestern football game and wearing Badger

I really liked Ignorance Is Bliss, but I am definitely in the minority on that one.

I watched Blue Valentine on Friday. It was very good and the acting was exceptional, but in retrospect watching a movie that bleak before heading out to meet up with a few friends was not a great idea.

My favorite Brasky line:
"Brasky's family crest is a picture of a barracuda eating Neil Armstrong."

Nicely done Gooch. I was hoping they'd play that one.

I saw the Felice Brothers on Saturday night and I was struck by the same realization. I didn't catch the drummer's name when he was introduced but he was definitely a big improvement.

I watched the Green Hornet and the first Iron Man on Friday. For the first half of the Green Hornet I thought I hated it, but it barely won me over in the second half. Iron Man was OK, but I watched it at 1:00 AM after seeing Ted Leo play a solo show so I wasn't in the best state and I don't remember exactly what

This is where my tongue lives.

RVIVR and Title Fight
Both awesome. I can't wait to get my order of the Joester Sessions.

I ditched work on Friday afternoon since it was really nice outside and I felt the need to sit out on the patio, drink some New Glarus beer and read a book. After 30 minutes I was bored with the book and watched Catfish on my laptop instead. Later that night I watched Animal Kingdom and it was fucking awesome.

Indeed. I've seen him four times now and each time has been excellent. I'll be making it five in a month.

I picked up a copy of the Badger Herald this past weekend while walking through campus after hitting up the RSD sales. I was pleasantly surprised to see White Bread and Toast was still going. I knew a guy that dressed up as White Bread for Halloween '99.

In high school one of my aspirations was to one day be the Drunk of the Week. I know it's no longer a feature but I've kept up my training just in case.

I also saw How Do You Know on Friday night. I didn't fall asleep but instead concentrated on drinking several glasses of whiskey, which didn't do much to improve the movie but did make an enjoyable Friday night.

As a Boy Scout I fucking loved the Hatchet. Despite the fact I was kind of shitty at knots and building lean-to shelters I thought I would be the shit when it came to living solo in the wilderness.

Agreed. I was 13 when this came out and it was my favorite movie at the time. Both Patric and Studi are very good and Duvall's Chief Scout character was just excellent. "Must be Texans… the lowest form of white man there is."

I stopped for gas in Eminence, MO on a trip from WI to Biloxi, MS about ten years ago and encountered the most incomprehensible accents I've ever come across. The old man running the filling station talked to me for at least 15 minutes but I'll be damned if I could understand half of it. Beautiful country though.

I've got a small umbrella in my messenger bag underneath all of the pens, notebooks and other shit I take to work every day. If it's raining I usually struggle with the decision to dig it out for the two block walk to the office from the parking lot. It has to be a fairly heavy rain to overcome the hassle of getting
