Yeah, it's not a bad way to piss away an hour. I watched a syndicated episode last Sunday while doing laundry.

I do like TJ Miller. He was the funniest part of She's Out Of My League, which may isn't exactly saying much but still.
I woke up from a nap last week with Townes' version of Wreck coming up on shuffle. It gave me the chills.
Soybomb II- I own that book, and it is really good. I bought it when I was a kid at a railroad museum in St. Louis because I liked trains. At twelve years old I apparently failed to grasp the horrible, horrible ways one could die in a train wreck, being scalded to death by far the worst.
Corpses and Upholstery was the original name of my Pony-league ball team when I was younger. I played left field.
I've recently been rewatching these episodes
I somehow missed the KKK final scene in Copy Machine before, so that was an added bonus.
Some other favorite lines:
Lisa - "It was a freak accident."
Joe - "Matthew had nothing to do with it."
Also:
Bill - "You know what they say, little man, big emotion."
Old Roommate -…
Fidel, I couldn't have said it better myself. I generally blow off the self-important RS fluff and just go for the good reads, which are certainly worthwhile. Plus of course look at the pictures of pretty pop starlets…
Kids in Philly was my introduction to the band and I also love Let's Cut The Crap And Hook Up Later On Tonight. After kind of giving up on them following Float Away, it was If You Didn't Laugh… that brought me back. I enjoyed Angels but the break-up of the band directly following its release was shitty. I'd made…
I will be in Chicago next Thursday!
Unfortunately it will be for an industry association golf outing the following day, so I'll be boozing it up at the happy hour reception at the hotel bar glad-handing anyone I can corner that night.
My brother-in-law loves Boondock Saints and not in any way ironically. He loaned his copy to my mom and we watched it the last time I was home. I hadn't seen it since college, but it had been a favorite of one of my roommates back in 2000 and we'd spent many a drunken night shouting Dafoe quotes at each other. …
I saw him play earlier this year with Title Tracks. Excellent show, and the place was packed despite it being a Sunday night show.
I really got into him with A Man Under the Influence, which I thought was excellent and was one of my favorite albums of 2001. I really didn't like the Boxing Mirror due to John Cale's oppressive production, but I thought Real Animal was a nice return to form. I haven't had a chance to listen to the new one.
I'd also add to the list:
@ drinky - I'm a big fan of the .357 String Band. I'm glad to see them getting more attention and going on nationwide tours and all. One of my favorite shows ever was them and Those Poor Bastards closing down the King Club in Madison on a bitch-ass cold winter night three years ago. I haven't seen them live since…
I'm probably not going to use it that much either, but this has more to do with the fact that I've seen all of the older shows that are part of Hulu Plus (Arrested Development, Buffy, Angel, etc.). If I feel the need to catch up on old episodes of Airwolf, well that still is free so huzzah for that.
My dad did the same. When I was a kid "Illegal Smile" was my favorite song ever. I'll be seeing Prine with my dad later this fall in Madison. I've seen him twice over the last few years, and I've always enjoyed the show.
I can't stand the Dion either. I broke a friend's radio once by throwing my shoe at it when his girlfriend at the time was playing that Titanic song.
Alvis was the holiest man ever to slap iron! He killed for your sins!
Green Day 1996
When I was 16 I'd gotten tickets to go to see Green Day in Milwaukee with a group of three other friends. I'd cleared it with my dad but about a week before the show my mom started freaking out over it, assuming (possibly correctly) that I'd be murdered if I went to Milwaukee or something to that end. …
That Rathskellar show was pretty fucking sweet. I was most impressed with Titus. We actually left after about 2/3rds of Los Campesinos' set, since we'd relinquished our spots near the front to get a couple beers between sets and ended up on the edge of the crowd.
