Just awful. Some of the best, most economical prose I ever read - like a Kafka sketch in 1970's urban America. And he reduced it to a bad cover version of a James Dean flick.

Man, did he ever f—- up Rumblefish. Like Bonfire of the Vanities f—-ed it up.
