I don't get why season 1 isn't at the bottom of these lists. The way they played the theme music in the background during climactic moments (because things are CRAZY at thirty rockerfeller center!) was downright excruciating.

I have to wonder if Neil hadn't been subconsciously emulating him when he got his dog Cabal after his divorce. He wrote a eulogy for him (he passed away last week) that gives a history of their time together and mutual dynamic that sounds a lot like the one between Destruction and Barnabas.
It also makes Destruction less affable, knowing that he arranged for his friends to die just in order to be able to have prep-time for a family meal.
