Didn't she admit she's not really bisexual? Was that someone else?
Yeah, the trans-case demonstrates contact theory, but the other ones don't. The anti-trans guy hadn't met anyone trans and didn't really understand it.
I'll stand up for Gwyneth Paltrow as possibly the only authentic celebrity. Of course she's into crazy rich people shit! She's a crazy rich person! All celebrities are into crazy expensive shit; she's just honest about it. She's not stamping her name on some convenience store product she'd never touch in a thousand…
That actually kind of surprises me, since that book felt researched to me. But I guess it's not a topic I know too much about so I'm easy to fool!
You're right that he was insufferable in the book, but on the other hand, he was the only character in the book who had a personality.
The casual aside in this book that everyone was just a-okay with forfeiting online anonymity drove me to utter distraction. Really?? Her self-righteous ex is the only non-troll to voice complaint? Have you noticed the real world where lots of people make lots of fuss about online privacy?
Oh Jesus Christ
Teasing isn't the same thing as structural discrimination. Thinness isn't structurally discriminated against (at least in the modern US).
I hate this song, but….what??
Sad that my reaction to this was, "Wow, $900 for Bushwick?! That's an amazing find!"
So that's why I ate so much Pizza Hut as a child!!!
Illyria
More like one montage repeated 7 times.
In their defense, "George of the Jungle" is a great movie.
idk, by this point, all that would do is draw attention to the fact that he had to kill one of his best friends in the pilot and it was never mentioned again. I'd rather just retcon Jesse into nonexistence than highlight the emotional plot hole.
It's no coincidence that the series' best villains were it's smallest scale*. Last minute attempt at world destruction aside, Angelus is basically just Buffy's ex. Spike and Drusilla are just a couple wacky vampires. The Mayor just wants to be a big snake. Faith is…also basically just Buffy's ex.
I thought they didn't know they were going to get renewed when Season 5 ended. I think that was the original finale.
Very unpopular opinion: I hated Spike on Angel until maybe midway through the season, and even then think the season would have overall benefited from his absence, despite his contribution of many a great moment (cue the "You're a wee little puppet man!").
