Speaking of gay men in clubs, Mickey and Ian's kiss (Shameless).

Late to the party, but my favorite detail about that scene was the way Maura let down her hair after he said that - like, nope, I'm not doing this within your comfort zones. You're going to have to deal with me. It's the moment she stopped dictating her identity around her kids' views of her.

Given the source, this should be taken with a grain of salt, but Adnan's friend did an AMA and claimed that Hae caught Jay cheating on his girlfriend and was going to tell her. My guess is either that this wasn't substantiated enough for Koenig to bring up, Koenig thought it would be reckless to throw unsubstantiated

I could not agree less. Looking was probably my favorite show of the year.

    "I don't cry, I Saab"

"I don't care if you like her music, but if you don't respect her as a smart business women, I think you need to look at your cultural blinders."

    Wait….this is a show?

I'm a little embarrassed by how much I genuinely enjoyed that.

I'm glad to hear this is good. I fucking loved Love and Basketball.

This actually worked pretty well until the Taylor vocals came in. Should've just been Kendrick over the "Shake it Off" instrumentals.

    This looks promising.

Without an actually Middle Eastern actor, it's almost like blackface, considering he's clearly still supposed to be "Middle Eastern."

Has Elsbeth ever commented on Will's death? Weren't they friendly? I've spent all of the last two episodes waiting for her to give condolences or something, and nope, just penguins and baby lotion…

Is this a year old or am I having a very specific bout of deja vu?

Not the first, but the most traumatic - Dogville with my dad in theaters when I was 12. Earlier examples of traumatic R-rated movie experiences with Dad - Sophie's Choice when I was 8.

Considering she was admitted to Barnard, yes, I would say it's fairly likely she can read.

That Fiona Apple theme song tho….Even if I weren't otherwise excited for this show, that alone would put me on board.
