Claudia, I hope you are coping as well as you say you are. I worry sometimes you are holding back a little and that things are even worse than you say.  You have no space to yourself, you have no time for yourself, your life is studying for tests rather than doing the things you want to do.  And now bleeding legs and

I hope EB is sharing his kotatsu so you can at least study with warm feet. Please don't cry!  Forget tests and think of the Spring blossoms.  The peanut butter cup trees will soon be in bloom!

I don't think I'll be watching Manitou!  Its late 1970s, that's way too recent.  Something happened to horror movies in the 70s that makes them less interesting to me.  I'm not sure what! The mummy movie was early 70s and even that was way too new! Tomorrow night I am watching a movie called Konga that I think is

Claudia, poor Claudia!  Tests on Saturday is ILLEGAL! Will you have a long break after test week?

Grosser than Kristy in a food fight?

Don't forget the MUSIC: HEAR THIS article about Olivia Newton-John's theme song, "Manitou".

Dropping the Russian accents is a good idea, but if they really wanted to emphasize the universality of the sailors, they should have gone with LOTS of accents.

AV Club comments were all messed up yesterday for awhile but its back to normal now.  I hope its not a glimpse of what is to come!

Claudia, what happened in here? The columns are narrow and everything is different! Does it look different for you?

My post just disappeared!

Oh yeah, the Mummy movies and the Invisible People movies too.  The Mummy ones are my favourites.  They are my dust covered bottles of rare wine.  Whenever I arrive at one of them, there is a long delay because they are for special occasions only.  But the Mummy movies don't intersect with the other series, do they?

I'm so sorry you had a fight.  You are totally right, EB should always take your side, even when he doesn't agree.  EB is your special person.  Everyone needs to have one special person who will always support you no matter what. How could EB have won an award so soon?  Are you going to go somewhere special to

I'm going through all the Universal monster series in order because there's some cross-over at the end.  Can't risk messing up the delicate continuity. I'm up to Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman.  They're pretty cheap at this point near the end, but I still love every cheap second of them!  I only watch one every couple

I've been reading about hay fever in Japan.  Now I realize that the masks so many people wear must be because of it.  It sounds terrible, I feel bad for EB and I hope you don't have it too.

Is kafunshou the reason you were sick too?  Is the stuff your cousin got him helping?  Does he get sinus headaches, is he not able to breathe?  Does a mask help?  Is that why your cousin said before that you should wear a mask?

Is EB getting sicker?  I thought he had caught the same thing you had.  Does he have something else?  Is he breaking out?  Why do you think he has allergies?  Maybe its Spring allergies.  Is he staying home from school?

I have two great fears: army ants, and being acquired and dissolved by Anadarko Petroleum.

I'm glad you are mostly better, but you need to be ALL better.  I'm concerned because this sickness came right after your cold and ET throat and that makes me think pneumonia.  But you said you went to the doctor, right?

I don't think so.  There is a shorter version of the Fritz Lang story with a different title that I guess should be avoided.  Both proper versions are easiest to find with just the blanket title Indian Tomb rather than the individual movie titles.

If you enjoy silent romantic adventure fantasies that take place in Western daydreams of mystical Eastern kingdoms, you will LOVE The Indian Tomb!  Its two movies, best watched under a big patchwork quilt over two cold winter nights.  With cocoa and raisinettes. Fritz Lang's later colour version is also excellent! The
