Sweet Christmas! Presents!
I guess I was just thinking "this guy has obvious leverage over your boss, maybe you want to tread lightly around him." But you're right, Tone hates him from the start, and it's not like we see him make a whole lot of smart decisions during his time onscreen. It just felt weird to me that Shades would go along to…
Couldn't help but notice Cottonmouth's socks in his introductory scene. The pattern looked suspiciously scale-like.
Mentioned in the binge reviews, but when Turk showed up on the rooftop to ask for payment, I really thought we were going to get a "where's my money, honey?"
Yeah, Jane is a boss.
I get the feeling that I probably wouldn't like Harry Shearer very much in person, but I was completely on his side about having no interest in setting up a pseudo parent/child relationship with your boss. And making someone wait two hours to see you is fucking ridiculous.
I read the name Mignini and thought to myself, no, it can't be that same motherfucker.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, I would like you to meet . . . Loaf!
Are . . . are you my wife?
We all owe Rundgren for that runtime.
I like how Bat Out of Hell is a cult album, despite having sold thirty million-plus copies. In truth, it DOES feel kind of cult to me, even today. It just doesn't make sense that the gigantic, overemotional soundtrack to a musical that didn't quite exist somehow became one of the biggest selling albums of all time. …
He says in his autobiography that the best thing you can do for a Steinman song is to give it to somebody like Robert De Niro, who (presumably) won't be hitting every high note or keeping perfect time, but you'll damn sure believe every word he says.
The timeless, cask-aged creaminess of Laphroaig, now with the sassy sweetness of watermelon!
I've made my choice.
Pansexual?
I mean, I can't provide a citation on that just yet, please don't take my word alone. And there's no reason whatsoever this couldn't be two things, right?
It never comes up in the movie, but yeah. Feig called the character "pansexual" in at least one interview, and I've heard that one of his directions to McKinnon was to play it like she's in love with McCarthy.
I'm going to give The Fireman credit for its deep character focus. It's
imperfect, largely due to Harper becoming a completely different
character within the first hundred pages (adjusted for large print
version) and for telling the story that I'd actually want to hear told.
In any other novel, the weirdo cult that…
There was a good long time where, if Jeffrey Combs was involved in your
movie, I was going to watch it with no questions asked. That time has,
mostly, passed (Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy/SharkMan, my friends), but I
still really like the guy and wish good things for him. I really wish
he'd get cast in a recurring part…
I was dealing with the withdrawal until they mentioned a Richard III season.
