This has my very favorite inaccurate historical moment.
Buck Compton didn't hit that soldier in the back with a grenade just as it exploded.
He actually hit him in the head. On a straight line. No arch. Because he was an All American Catcher on the UCLA baseball team.

…he was in twilight. :|
OH! He was the voice of Tahno in the Legend of Korra.

IT'S SWAMP THING!!! (and yes, I totally chose a Con Air reference over Lost). I'm sad about Jason but I'm mostly happy that my new favorite character only got stabbed in the stomach and not murdered. How has M.C. Gainey never been in an Eric Kripke show before? He seems kind of perfect for it. SWAMP THING!!!
Okay, I

Thanks!
I'm glad I'm not the only person who gets completely wrecked by that moment. I imagine that other people experienced the same thing with that opening only with the other images (i.e. Liebgott's reaction to the camp or Roe against that tree in Bastogne)

Nope. How long ago is way back when?

Same for me with Liebgott and White Collar.

He gets yelled at by Sobel for drinking from his canteen.

Me too. But more the shirtless Children of Dune version (pre-sandworm transformation).

Completely off topic but does anyone else find it kind of weird/awesome that Scott Grimes is super close with Russell Crowe?

It probably shouldn't have taken me that long but I didn't realize the significance of the images in the title sequence until the part in The Breaking Point where Buck drops his helmet. Then I realized that I'd seen that image at the top of every episode. That just chilled me to the bone.
I just rewatched the opening

Are we not going to mention baby James McAvoy?

I kind of have a fondness for Sobel now that I didn't have the first six times I watched it. I really hated him at first because (as you said) he was a really shitty officer. But then I started reading up on the whole thing and I kept hearing quotes from the veterans saying that even though they hated him, they

Thank you so much for reviewing this! Can't wait to start my rewatch.
I've posted this before but Ross Owen did interviews with almost the entire cast for the tenth anniversary. There are some really interesting stories in there.

My best friend got tickets to the stage show version on the West End. So. Jealous.

If you don't know the name Jon Peters, please go immediately to youtube and watch Kevin Smith's Superman story.
Or just…here: https://www.youtube.com/wat…

I nearly downvoted your comment off of instinct. I think the words, "Following" and "renewed" are a trigger or something.

Didn't the random dude end up becoming a character in the prison though? Hell of a way to introduce a new character.

And no one knew or cared that he died for the rest of the episode…Am I remembering that correctly?

Well, they did re-name the hospital after them. But yeah, they don't really get mentioned.

I was referring more to the whole "Monroe and Rachel teamed up to drop the nukes" narrative the Patriots were spreading.
But I do agree with your argument. At this point, it's like…"Which horrible, tyrannical force do we join sides with?"
