I'm a big Veronica Mars fan, so I was unhappy with what they gave Tessa Thompson too. But her character got a lot more interesting in the second season. The scene with her and the lamppost was awesome.

As someone who watches it on Starz and sees all of the promos, I've gotta say that this is the first time they've really done this. The promo for Separate Paths would have you believe that it was about Spartacus/Laeta sexytime. For me at least, the promos just add to my speculation. Like why Laeta had that bag on her…

In fairness to the Starz promo people, they did cut away really fast (not fast enough for the internet mind you). But I think they just wanted to show how screwed the 500 survivors were. And that happened to be the footage they had.
Not sure why they showed Naevia's fate though…

I've been looking at the promo for the next episode on youtube, and the general consensus there seems to be that Agron is alive. So upside - that little shitbag Tiberius didn't get him. Downside- (spoilers) Pretty sure that he's the one being crucified.
