I have not watched the TV show either, but that description reminds me of the Elizabeth Smart story.

I want Daphne to be okay again, too.
The scene where Angelo punches Jeff in the kitchen took place Halloween 2012, so about 10 days after Daphne's 17th birthday.
Adding an obligatory complaint about a Switched at Birth hashtag:
I wasn't talking about a 15 year time jump, though, just a 5 year one. It would make Daphne, Toby, and Travis a lot closer to the actors' real ages, and Bay and Emmett would only be about 2 years older than the actors' real ages. Wouldn't that be better?
Yeah. I had to keep reminding myself that Bay and Sharee played on the same field hockey team.
I agree that enough time has passed to make Sharee a permanent member of the Carlton group.
It would be interesting to see Season 4 open five years in the future, with the family coming together to welcome Daphne home, after her release from prison. It would allow for an even greater exploration of identity, as Daphne redefines who she is outside of the penal system and reacquaints herself with family and…
I need to officially eat some crow and admit that I was wrong. Bay had shared the news with Emmett about her rejection letter from Pratt.
It IS good to see Daphne throw Regina's big lie back in her face. I feel so strongly that Daphne's entire debacle is because of that.
But look what Bay shouted at Daphne. It was so sweet. Bay was INCLUDING Daphne. Bay: "I don't understand how you could just leave in the middle of everything! He needs us right now! Both of us Daphne." How can you fault Bay for those words?
I give major credit to the SAB writers for this episode, too.
That's my fear, if they both actually make it to LA (which I doubt, but, hey, one never knows…anything is possible!).
Angelo was a man with a will and a living will. Not everyone has both of those things in place. He did make plans.
As we approach tonight's episode, I am thinking about Bay.
I love your description of Bay in the first paragraph. That DOES encompass what makes her an individual. She is such a unique combination of all of her parents.
I guess we will find out soon enough!
This made me chuckle. Point well made, I do tend to write melodramatic. Sorry for that. Please, just ignore it.
I am sure.
Oh, mercy! You always go right to the heart of what needs to be recognized, and I love that about you!
