I have no problem with them being geeky, and I have been a Rush geek for 30+ years. It's just funny how every review I've read uses the word. Maybe it's in the AP Style Manual under "Rush—Band"?

This is one of the best reviews I've read of the album, but still, is it possible someone will review this record without using "geek" in some form?

I love that there's little snippets of "Bastille Day" and the long snare from "By-Tor" in there. "The Anarchist" is also fantastic. Just a strong album that really surprised me with its complexity.

Queensryche was definitely not hair metal. One ballad does not a hair metal band make, otherwise we would have to include Metallica in the hair metal genre.
