We have Game of Thrones. There will be no shortage of incest or terrorism.

Yeah, cause I am about to trust the judgement of someone who liked the ending to Lost.
The internet gets especially angry about anything Bioware related. It is a backlash of a size and intensity the likes of which I have never seen.
The very fact that we are considering the idea of critiquing a video game based on its story is mind blowing enough. I imagine that in the future video games will become ever more elaborate and story based, with Bioware probably seen as a *ahem* harbinger of that.
The difference between Mass Effect and Babylon 5 is that Mass Effect is not really, really terrible.
As opposed to all those well adjusted, happy go lucky rpg nerds?
I liked Mass Effect 1 better. Quite a bit better actually. I think ME2 is a great, genius game, ME1 had more of a (as someone else said) rambly, RPGish feel to it. It just felt fresher somehow, I can't really explain it.
Obvious troll is obvious.
You need a really good idea to justify a new space opera setting. Just about everything in space opera has been done, and then some.
It is like they aren't even trying anymore.
Yeah, we let long-form entertainment off easily, which is why Lost and Battlestar Galactica both have unimpeached critical profiles after their respective endings, and have not, in fact, become bywords for fumbling an ending.
Mass Effect 2 did advance the plot. We learned what Reapers are and how they are made.
Ehh, the original Mass Effect was pretty good in giving you beautiful planets to tediously explore. Some of the coolest looking planetscapes I have ever seen.
"The games never at any point say that Shepard is "special""
1. The first game we learn that the Reapers are an ancient, absurdly powerful race of sentient robots who enter the galaxy every 50,000 years to exterminate all organic life.
First off, I care if Shepard dies.
Mass Effect 2 felt like a stalling tactic?
Ehh, most of the critiques of the story I have seen are about as deep as "Wahhh, I didn't get to have sex on a beach with *Insert Love Interest*".
It would be best if this were the last season. It really would. Go out before things get painful.
My P&R taste is off from these reviews. The show has been in a slump for a while, this was good enough to feel like a season 3 episode.
