Keep beating that stawman. It didn't really "ruin the entire thing" (Seasons 1 and 2 are still amazing, although I have not rewatched them due to the bad taste left in my mouth), but a shitty ending is still a shitty ending, and that goes double for Lost.

It is heartbreaking. The me that existed before the 4th season of BSG would have busted a nerdgasm over this news.

I have never liked/bought Lily as a character. She has always been the weakest of the five, and her gags have always been transparently based around Allison Hannigan saying things Allison Hannigan would never say. It also annoys me that the characters like she is drop dead sexy when she is not in the least.

I thought the ep. made it very clear that Barney was consciously deceiving himself/allowing himself to be deceived. He isn't stupid, just willing to believe comforting lies.

I enjoyed the season opener, and I agreed with Donna that the dialogue was much better. It felt RIGHT, if not exactly hilarious, after the very off season 5.

I guess I was kind of assuming that, for whatever reason, either: 1. They had allowed themselves to be kept, or 2. The Hetero Sapiens who made the plane disappear are a different faction with a different agenda who did not care to rescue the prisoners.
