I thought Toad's father kind of guilted them into looking after him (Toad the younger) because the guy knew he was a bit of a 'tard.  But that info comes from a middle school production my kid was in.

True enough, but it was the first roller coaster I ever went on.  I used to think I'd take on any roller coaster, but now my kid wants to go on the Kingda-Ka or whatever and I gotta admit I'm a little scared of that thing.
