The joy in Sisko's face when Jake introduces him to his family and shows off his book contrasted with the utter despair when he realizes that Jake threw all of it away to try and save him always gets me right in the nerdy feels.

Not just her though. Her entire family line has been getting space-rufie-sexed to death for CENTURIES.

Hahaha! That's perfect.

"Because I can live with it."
"…I can live with it"
*Stares off into nothing*
"Computer, delete that entire personal log."

The way Spiner and Rubinekplay the moment when Data decides that murder is the ethical choice and both character's realize it is just so good. You can practically hear the hard drive clicking noise while he's holding the gun and also hear it fade when he goes to fire.

The acting on that episode is top class. Everybody really sells that this is a very different Starfleet from the one we've gotten to know. Everybody in command is colder and rarely smile. Exactly how you'd expect people who know they're fighting a losing war would act.

I really liked Lwaxana when I was a kid. Revisiting the show when it appeared on Netflix I found her unbearable. I think Barrett was really good at playing her as an adult child. A woman who had come so far, done so much, but had also experienced so much loss and disappointment that she basically stopped giving a shit

I mean, that's literally the policy of every Republican President since Reagan made hating smart people the bar for entry to high levels of the party.

Your point about education makes no sense. There's a massive question in higher education about whether colleges have become TOO focused on a liberal arts education rather than teaching targeted skill groups. 100 years ago 70% of the population had a less than grade school education, 20% had some high school and 5-10%

I'm not sure if we would put Snowflame in with the cold characters or the heat characters. He's got pyrokinesis, but he gets his power from the god of cocaine and there's nothing cooler than drugs.

I deserve this.

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize. Internet connection problem that became an embarrassment.

Did they have to order new episodes because there just wasn't enough room for all the characters telling each other things that they already knew?

Oh sweet fuck this looks terrible.
