My only beef is that he doesn't seem to be putting any effort into the reviews. I don't care if he likes or doesn't like something, the fact that he's skimming over the majority of the episodes by way of "oh, also this happened." makes for short and uninteresting reviews.

So, about a day before my wedding, my dad took me aside, looked me in the eye and said, "You know, it's a lot easier to wait and get a divorce than to walk out now, but that doesn't mean it's right."

Fucking World Series!

I don't think that it's a bad show, I just think it looks bad in comparison to A:TLA, which, to be fair, is a pretty high fucking standard to hold a show to.

Coooooooool.

Alright, but I don't think you have to apologize to the critic who writes the reviews.

No, you're right, I mispoke, but 44,000 is a very small number in the global scale.

These fictional languages are also spoken by people. People who exist, even.

Question. Do fictional languages count as dead languages? I mean, they exist, but no one ever speaks them except the people who make a point to. Is speaking elvish functionally the same as speaking Ojibwe or Latin?

Oh man… I've seen the last episode of Broadchurch, and let's just say that all the crying up to this point was just inadequate preparation for the REAL crying.

Full disclosure, I've had the pleasure of meeting Yang on a couple occasions and he's basically the nicest. American Born Chinese was one that I liked okay on the first read-through, and appreciated much more the second time.

Worth noting that Boxers and Saints is on the National Book Award longlist, which is pretty cool. Yang's book American Born Chinese was the first comic ever to be nominated for the NBA, so check them both out.

Yar…

Nothing bad ever happens to a Kennedy!

All sandwich, all the time.

Porcupine quills don't discharge though… They just have hooks so they stay in when the animal pulls away.

I'm surprised you guys aren't covering Risk! yet. Similar to the Moth in format, the stories are generally more entertaining, varying from the sort of story you'd hear drunkenly at a party to stories more suited to a therapist's couch. The stories aren't always good (nothing can always be good) but they are hardly

Yeah! It had a ton of likes!

@avclub-ca4fc44a59d0201cc7d4f760153cb00c:disqus No, you're thinking of Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos, which is also a thing that I can't believe exists.

It's super awful, ran in the 90's, and was cancelled after one episode due to the sheer weight of hatred from the viewers. Plus, I think its on youtube.
