Not necessarily. Chaos can come from order, and vice versa. Every time the Reavers and the Alliance collide, it seems like the Reavers are stronger, so what does that say?

I wrote an essay awhile back about family connections in Firefly, and this passage seems relevant.

I feel like the Reavers are most threatening when you don't see them, and in that sense this episode worked for me. I get why you didn't like it though, the tonal shifts are super abrupt from spooky horror to light-hearted joking to government intervention.

That's an interesting an not popular choice. Could you unpack it a little more? What do you like about him other than those broad character strokes?

I've always viewed the Alliance and the Reavers the opposite side of the same coin. Both have little room for nuance or compromise (with the exception of Harken's release of the crew). Alliance is meant to represent pure order, the Reavers pure chaos, but they are alike in their purity. There's no room for dinosaur

Why would she, @avclub-2dd78e6d27abfc8092491a5b76d415fa:disqus? She's not Internet Famous. Although the stress of my Internet Fame seems to be sending her into strange men's showers, so what do I know? I don't pay that much attention to her, I'm too busy being interviewed by Daniel Tosh.

50 Shades of Gray? Really? I know it's popular, but isn't it a pretty pervy book?
