It doesn't affect my viewing pleasure a jot either. But it does affect it a sugar tittle.

Definitely start with Written on the Wind. I'd put it on my all-time top ten favorites list.
Agreed. If Cronenberg wants to adapt some Lethem, I'd think a book like "Girl In Landscape" would be a much more natural fit. Doesn't that one have people having sex with giant insects?
…the same David Lynch who will be featured in the title track of "Dark Night of the Soul," which was written by Danger Mouse, who also produced "The Mouse and the Mask" sampling music from various television shows airing on Cartoon Network's programming block Adult Swim that includes the television show Robot Chicken…

How far do you have to get in Preacher before it gets awesome? I read the first volume in trade and wasn't feeling it at all.
Mentok commands you to like this record.
I'll cast my vote for Twin Cinema as well. That was the album that made me take an interest in power pop.
That's true, but between the less-than-enthusiastic letter grade and the general consensus that seems to be emerging on the internets, I get the sense that folks aren't feeling this one so much.
Hmmm
It almost kills me the way people are underrating this album.
