Yeah, I like the credits, too, and the theme song is an earworm for me. But I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it…

Shogun was awesome. You are correct.
I noticed that he'd look at the sandwich, cut the crust off, look again with a little frown, and cut again — my impression was that he was trying to make that sandwich perfectly square and was not able to, to his chagrin.
I loved the way the scene between Walter and Jesse was staged. They're awkwardly standing side by side, right by the front door, neither looking at one another as they sort of talked. Then Walter's weird little pat on Jesse's back when he says he's done using… has ever a smart man been so stupid?
Regarding the orange — I used to live in New Mexico, and while the scene takes place in Mexico, it's not that different further north. I have visited places where the landscape is almost that orange, and if the circumstances are right, at sunset it can look almost as if the sky is on fire, so while it was a heightened…
A little Hale
Don't get me wrong, I like Tony Hale, but a little bit of him goes a long way with me. This was the perfect dosage. Plus I liked that he was a different character than he usually plays.
I think LGtP was worth watching, especially if you keep your expectations low. I really liked Dax Shepard and Chi McBride in it, and looking at IMDB just now, I see it was written by Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon. There are some surprisingly good moments, Prep, and some expectations and stereotypes are sort of…
Here's a tough sell: Lagaan. You try turning your friends onto a three-hour Indian musical about cricket set in the British colonial days. "But it's a freaking awesome movie!" "Sure, okay, maybe someday…"
Jesus' Son. He's good in that.
Saw Gleaming the Cube by myself, opening day. What? It was written by Michael Tolkin, of all people. Doesn't matter, not even my then-crush on Christian Slater helped make that movie worth seeing. Ugh.
Morris Chestnut — I second the Clean, Shaven nomination for best Peter Greene performance. Little film, kinda old now, few know about it, but more should.
I really enjoyed Reaper and thought Labine really made the show worth watching, but you're right, more Sock wasn't always better. Writer's fault, though, if you ask me. I just wish they didn't cancel Reaper so Labine could do this show, which isn't nearly as entertaining, to judge from the pilot. Bring Reaper back!
H. Jon
I love H. Jon B., but thought he overdid the yelling in this ep. Don't get me wrong, he's one of the best yellers in the business… but I like his nuanced side as well.
Yabels, your post made this day bearable. Thank you.
