Ladytron is perfect to me.

I love Paul Rust the way Paul Rust loves chemicals so much he might as well be Walter White over here, but this looks kind of tired. I'll give it a chance, though. O'Doherty!
CLAUDIA O'DOHERTY!
KIMMY SCHMIDT!
The music of the Replacements inspired me to drink a lot of alcohol.
I loved Spotlight, but in what universe was Rachel McAdams's performance award worthy? It was serviceable and therefore 100% appropriate for the film, which was entirely story driven. The only performance that may have been a standout was Liev Schreiber's, and even that's a stretch.
Did you also know that we are all toxic trolls who hate him? I was unaware of this, since I'm pretty sure I have said nothing but borderline orgasmic things about him here, and if the AV Club commentariat are trolls DEAR GOD WHAT IS THE REST OF THE INTERNET?!?
It's bizarre. And I honestly think he's utterly brilliant and hilarious, but the weird angry entitlement is off-putting.
James is a maniac on Twitter. I love how he's getting annoyed with people who are expressing admiration for some of his CBB bits and telling them they're not as good as other bits he's done. He frequently gets snippy with people for LIKING HIM. It's hilariously unproductive.
I am so pleased by this news.
I was sitting here trying to remember The Silver Chair and why I loved it so much. Jill Pole. Of course.
Ah thanks for this. I didn't watch those two movies, even though I actually did enjoy The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and thought she was perfect in it.
I don't think her character is in The Silver Chair? I actually don't remember. I do know I loved that book though.
The audiobook (recorded with a full cast) is so tremendously satisfying that I refused to watch the movie.
I enjoy how "yes, and" Bowie was about briefly changing his name to David Cassidy.
I apologize for all the adverbs in this comment.
Letterman knew how to exploit that shagginess. Just him staring discontentedly into space for an uncomfortably long moment could be hilarious. Colbert's energy is tighter-wound and higher-pitched than Dave's, and a sprawling hour may be too much for it to work optimally.
I kind of agree. I haven't watched much of it but from what I've seen it doesn't have the leanness and hyperfocus of the Report, which was the best-written AND best-performed show on late night, and I don't think it's wrong or disloyal to suggest that Colbert would be better in a less shaggy format. I don't want to…
When Charlie and Gayle started doing the morning show thing my mom was so over the moon that people were suddenly allowed to be intelligent low-key humans on TV between the hours of 6 and 11 am that she couldn't shut up about it. It was like this unexpected late-in-life gift to her.
My favorite is on the best-ofs when Paul softly repeats "Cake Boss" in his regular Paul F. Tompkins voice whenever Scott mentions him.
