I was not on board with the idea of them switching to REM, mostly because I am a huge U2 fan and not really an REM fan at all, but the idea of Adam getting super upset sounds like it could be hilarious.

I agree with you that some of the characters can be hard to read (some I think very intentionally so, like Bedelia), but I feel like I always know exactly what's going on in Hannibal's head/heart. I don't know if that means Mads Mikkelsen is a genius or I am a psychopath.
Are they ashamed of us
It's so great to hear him though. Him declaring U2 his favorite band so he can leave never gets any less funny.
actually cut off her breast and feed it to him
Possibly too painful because of Harris. RIP Terrorist still makes me laugh though.
Poor Kulap! But the heart wants what it wants. Laura: I'm coming for you.
I keep wanting to reply to this but the only thing I can think of to say is that I can't stop laughing at it. It was a uniquely exuberant episode of UTU2TM.
NLOTH is my third favorite U2 album after Boy and The Joshua Tree. Scott is right: the middle bit mostly sucks. But the rest of it more than makes up for it. I absolutely adore the first four tracks, Fez/Being Born, and Breathe.
I actually got the sense that they were enjoying themselves so much that they might do more eps soon. DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE, BRO.
I just loved how thrilled Scott was with the interaction. I hope the lovable lads from Liverpool understand that no one could have appreciated that particular Bono-ism more than the Scotts.
Italian-university-professor-level expert on Dante!
It was pretty unclear, I thought it was his as well.
I think there are multiple threads on the topic but here's one:
All credit to Reddit (that rhymes): apparently that's Hannibal's notebook, and he's still trying to figure out how to make time reverse and the teacup gather itself up.
DIM SUM: LIKE IT SPICY? WHO BE TONY CURTIS?
That track during the season 2 finale was the most effective scoring I've ever heard in my life. When they reran the gutting scene this season they scored it completely differently, which I thought was fascinating - more traditional horror, less me climbing the walls sobbing my eyes out.
Yeah. What Will said about delighting versus tolerating pretty much encapsulates the way I've felt about the entire Verger storyline. One of the reasons Mizumono is a perfect episode of television for me is that it's Verger-free.
I'm struggling with an intense combination of excitement, sadness, and amusement ("wet and dark and sticky," eh Bryan?). I really am hoping he maintains his loony enthusiasm long enough to make another season happen somewhere.
This is the type of show in which Hannibal could put Will through a meat grinder and he'd come out not only alive but still extremely pretty.
