Okay, I was a bit confused by the ending. What exactly did Michael remember and what did he forget? The Narrator suggests that he forgot how he knew about GM and Rebel, but then says that the memory of taking the Forget-Me-Now was the only one he'd forgotten. In Michael's mind, did he know that GM was dating Rebel (if

I liked it when Rachel and Monica got together, in the shower, and Phoebe brought them some soap… Wait, that was fanfic. Still, it was great.

Well, Fry's character was pretty funny as I recall, and I am a bit of a sucker for a fated love story, so I was pretty entertained. The Fry/Leela romance has never completely worked, but here it made sense, both for Fry and Leela and for two salmon just trying to mate before dying. I've been there, my friend.

I didn't particularly dislike that episode as I recall, but I'd have rather been watching a normal episode. The characters carry a certain amount of emotional weight after this time, and I'd rather be watching a subpar episode with them than a subpar (or even par) episode without them. They can be fun diversions (I

@avclub-da496e2db2e50a068b4ae5549d4ae1b0:disqus Ah, in that case I definitely don't remember it. What years might it have aired?
(And I presume Action Force to go with the UK named version of GI Joe, Action Man?)

Family Guy and the like have helped broaden my knowledge of shows like GI Joe that never made it to the UK (that I know), but I still couldn't tell you much about the series. And I knew Strawberry Shortcake was a thing thanks to South Park, but I'd no idea it was a TV series (or a cereal?), let alone that it was a

Actually, I've yet to see anyone in the audience actually cheering. Do they just add it as an obnoxious sound effect? And SO many ad breaks!

UK here, so that flew straight by me. And the GI Joe bit, although I understand the setup, I couldn't get the gags about the show.

BORT!

Seriously. I recall enjoying the salmon story in Naturama, but after that I just wanted to get back to the real characters.

@avclub-ab7d240c84d7265faec0b698a29c6ca7:disqus It's more than just comparing it to the same show, it's comparing it to the same show's potential. For example, last season of Breaking Bad got all As, but surely some should have been Cs and Ds to give an average? No, because the makers of Breaking Bad used every ounce

The over explaining its fatuousness? Huh. Well, that makes a certain amount of sense. Still kills the joke.

There has been a lot speculated about it, but this is the closest to having something confirmed about it all that we've had to date, and possibly will ever get. Colour me interested, at least.

Sharknado About Nothing.

Does anyone else ever wish the audience would just shut up so the performers can get on with their comedy?

I've steamed through the last four episodes just so I could read this review. WHAT A SHOW.

HOW did you miss Sophia? I know her main story elements were earlier in the season, but COME ON.

Exactly. There's all sorts they could have chosen, and yet they went with one that looks crass and kind of makes O'Dowd look like a sad sack stuck with a kid, which I assumed was the angle they were going for… but really, no, it's the kid's story, and O'Dowd is along for the ride, and just another facet of the main

Good fun, this. But that photo at the top is all wrong. It makes it look like the show is about a manic child with whom a deadpan O'Dowd is forced to hang around to his chagrin. Aside from the wearing the same hat, it's a terrible poster picture.

I still enjoy a lot of what came after that, but certainly the Ross/Rachel story breached intolerance. Still, I love their arc for the first few seasons.
