No mention that #3 just won a Tony?

Yeah…it's likely the Dems will have the House, the Senate, and the White House on 1/20/21, and will be eager to scrape the AHCA as quickly as possible, and will have a mandate from voters to do exactly that, and will have a lovely guide courtesy of Minority Leader McConnell about how to accomplish major legislation

As insane as it is, I do understand the thought process behind all this.

Don't get me wrong, this whole thing is extremely dire, but even if the Senate does pass its bill 52-48, it's not over yet. At that point, the House bill and Senate bill will have to be reconciled, with both bills out in public with their CBO scores out for all to see. And there's still the very real possibility

He's one of the 20% who actually supports the AHCA.

I remember it being pretty gross and not funny, I remember the bj scene, I remember a foil swan full of maggots flying out of a car and spatting into a windshield, and I remember a pre-Arrested Development Jason Bateman in a supporting role. Other than that, I don't remember much, nor do I want to.

Goodman has movie star money. Galecki isn't bad off at all, but I doubt he got all that much for Rings.

I remember being surprised a few years ago that a film that Willis had a supporting part in went straight-to-DVD. Now…outside of his cameo in a big hit from earlier this year, most of his output is either junk I have never heard of or supporting roles in films that bombed. Red 2 is his last halfway decent starring

I'm pretty sure I spent a chunk of 1979 learning to use the toilet like a big boy. I am proud to say that I knew how to use the toilet like a big boy by 1989.

I'm not going to say the guy deserves an Oscar or anything, but he did direct 4 solid action movies in the 90s (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, Long Kiss Goodnight, Deep Blue Sea).

Mizzou. We mostly played tourneys relatively close to campus (in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and Oklahoma), The farthest we ever traveled was to the NAQT championship in North Carolina in 2002 and Trashionals in Boston in 2003. After I graduated in 2002, I pretty much played exclusively on the trash circuit, since

Neither. It's not a good movie, but I've seen far worse. I did pretty much check out about 2/3rds of the way through when Michael Fassrobot, who had been acting as squirrelly as possible, easily convinces the very stupid captain to stick his head right into an open egg.

Bleck. I did terrible this week. I'll give myself a pass for not knowing Bonnerville (I knew of its existence, but couldn't tell you anything else about it), but the other questions—aaugh. I've seen Backdraft several times—granted, I probably haven't seen it in 20 years or so, but still, why I remembered the cast

Haha. I don't know him that well, so I'll leave personal values judgement to people who have spent much more time with him. I do think that everyone has at least one obnoxious teammate that they can't stand (I know my team did—boy howdy, did we ever).

Pan's Labyrinth? I don't remember Frankenstein being in that, but everything else seems to match the plot description.

I'm FB friends with Stan (we were on the quizbowl circuit together back in the day), and he's not happy with his performance at all.

"$173? I said $1.73, you morons! I'm not made of money!"

Yeah, but Central includes all of Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, and most of Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Plenty of kooks are out and about right now. Plenty of them.

I think most of the Jones coverage came during his trial a couple months ago. Since that ended, I haven't seen much on here about him. And there's a difference between AV Club's snarky commentary and an actual one-on-one interview with a woman who hasn't exactly covered herself in glory during previous one-on-one

If the interview was being conducted by a better journalist, you might have a point. But does anyone expect Megyn Kelly to be able to get anything interesting out of him?
