I'd definitely put up LA Woman with their first two. Morrison Hotel is pretty good; Waiting For the Sun and Soft Parade are utter crap.

As a teenager in the late Seventies, my first exposure to Joe Cocker was from a pretty good, now forgotten, single called "Fun Time" and "You Are So Beautiful", a ballad that I quickly got tired of from overexposure on my hometown radio station. I first saw and heard his version of "With A Little Help From My Friends"

Ringo and Paul are beyond amazing on Rain. The drum fills and that melodic bass; the rhythm section takes over the song. One of my favorite tracks. A lot of the Beatles b-sides were better than some group's best songs.

If this film is based on Ganja and Hess, then that makes it a vampire film. I only hope that it's as good as Ganja and Hess since the last worthwhile movie that he helmed was Inside Man. His best work since that time were the two Katrina documentaries, which were superb.

This film was the first that I'd seen Eccleston. The next time I saw him was when A&E started showing Cracker. Very interesting actor.

My favorite Roosevelt Franklin skit. Hell, it may be favorite Sesame Street bit ever.

Hail to thee/ Our alma mama/ Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School….

There was a Showtime movie about 15 years ago that depicted this meeting: Elvis Meets Nixon. Bob Gunton was Nixon, can't remember who played Elvis. It was a pretty good, funny film.

With the exception of Safe As Milk, this article disses the Beefheart albums I like the most: Clear Spot, The Spotlight Kid, and Ice Cream For Crow. Whatever. He is right about one thing: do not go to Trout Mask Replica as your first Beefheart experience. It put me off of him until I saw the Ice Cream For Crow video

Jan's character of Tammy Jean the evangelist was consistently hilarious. "Tush" came on during the year that the original SNL cast was replaced by the Charles Rocket - Denny Dillon group. After about three rotten SNL episodes, me and my college friends had switched to Tush.

Very sad news. I first knew of Hooks from the comedy show "Tush" on TBS back in the early eighties, in a cast that included Bonnie and Terry Turner. She was the break out star on that show, so I was very happy when she showed up in Pee Wee's Big Adventure and SNL. She was a underrated but valuable player in a cast

Well, she wasn't really unarmed. She had a whole table of potential killing instruments by her, at her fingertips, on that repair table. And Monty knew it. Which is why he let her know that he was armed.

State Trooper is one creepy, scary song. Those final "Wooh"s near the end always gives me goosebumps.

The High Numbers?

Just make sure you don't screw the pooch.

Just remember guys: no matter where you go, there you are.

Devane's monologue at the moving of Audrey's casket…… my goodness. He totally nailed that scene.

D'Angelo's negative description of the She Loves You sequence baffles me,making me wonder if he saw the same film I did. Sure, the studio version is used. In the songs previous to She Loves You, his complaint of "Layering random screams over the record just isn’t the same thing" may have some merit. But with She

Love that line and I've continued using it since I first saw this film.

I remember being stunned when I first saw that concert spot. That is a great live performance.
