Yeah, man, good art should only be for those privileged enough with access to those things (not everyone has access to or even knows they can use library systems) and/or the money to plonk ridiculous amounts of money on a 10/hour budget. If you're lucky to get those wages. Yep, that great swath of people should just

No its not, especially with the history of this show (and especially its super traditional, sexist second season), not to mention zombie shows and apocalypse scenarios in general are rife with social commentary and have the potential to redefine/provide examples of how to reinterpret society. Plus, its called critical

It doesn't take a genius to figure out my original post. Even a mute, one note account like you should be able to see zombie show as social commentary.

Awwww, fuck you too :)

What's the point of marriage in the zombie apocalypse except for TWD to reinforce rigid heteronormativity (that has no use in the end times and only inspires jealous and stupid decisions that can get people killed), the show's ceaseless sexism, and apparently continue to erase gay people from the world?

Again, these threads are always hilarious and full of people that have apparently never heard of free streaming tv/non-torrent sites.  How do you people even know what AV club is and are the types that wait for a DVD like a fool?

God, I fucking hate Tom.

Linda on picking a King Raccoon: He's King Trashmouth. He's gay. Him and his boyfriend just got maaaaaaried.
Oh, <3

He blew a bunch of men to get Liam back from a thug/gang lord.

That insurance company lawyer was so nasty and slimy it was hard to watch the episode. Terrible casting…normally The Good Wife layers its villain with some complexity.

"the same hacker who helped the Graysons set up Daniel: The Falcon."
I believe you mean set up David Clarke. I really enjoyed this episode, minus the James tangent. I still don't feel Jack is any real threat against the powers of the Takeda trio, so I still don't really care about him.

Christ, I just want Jerry and Tom to be swallowed up by a manhole. What was the entire point of the massive rewrite the book storyline if these fuckbags are just going to pretend it never happened.

That dry crying was the only thing to illicit a laugh from me (well, the SARS line was a close second). That was a pretty genius noise.

Such a poor, little conservative troll….

I'm in the same boat as you. I avoided the show once I found out Patricia Heaton was a massively conservative hoebag and if it wasn't for a random hulu auto-stream nap, I'd never have enjoyed this wonderful season.

Ah, ok. In my family back in the day the choices were between cop shows or Highlander and somehow Spin City was our mutual love of a show. I guess Patricia Heaton gives this show that all around vibe.

@silkolay:disqus @avclub-2699a553580f039ce51cb742ed676ad2:disqus Maybe we're watching different shows (or maybe you are putting much of your own ideas of parenthood into the show that others don't share), but the father/daughter dynamic (besides being totally unbelievable given how close their ages are irl) never

Is that because you are prudish about what goes into your kiddies' eyes and ears or because your family's tastes are divergent?

I'm glad this is not a show about a dad and his daughter anymore. The original catalyst for the show's premise was so mind numbingly Victorian I almost didn't watch the series (*oh noes! my teenage daughter wanted to have a penis insider her! must protect her by being a total asshole!*). Plus, Jeremy Sisto's character

I can never look at Lisa Simpson the same after I watched Yeardley Smith voice her. Then again, I never have no issue with knowing Katy Segal voices Leela From Futurama, but possibly that's because her character basically is her.
