I have no trouble believing that.  Kricfalusi is a straight-up crazyperson.  I met him at a comic book convention in 1995 (?) and got a signed sketch of a character he was working on; a guy called "Johnny the Idiot."  I don't know if he ever did anything with that character, but I still have that sketch as a reminder…
